Jukebox
Mod or Modern music developed in London, England in the late 1950s to mid 1960s. As much a lifestyle as a musical style mods sported short bobbed haircuts and distinctive clothes. Mods were inspired by American r&b, soul, Jamaican ska, and bluebeat combined with hard rock influences like the The Who and Small Faces. Mods frequented all night dance clubs listening to early bands like the Beatles who’s r&b influences had not yet inspired the British Invasion. Mods who favored high fashion often clashed with conventional rock fans known as rockers who wore T-shirts and leather.

Hi Charlie - those jokes just get better and better! I agree the 60’s stuff is very tame ( by todays standards) but the rap stuff is created in a way that it is obvious what they are saying and they expect the listener to get it and understand it - far removed from the 60’s stuff which is probably more subliminal!
