Melting Pot
So the Melting Pot experience was amazing. I went over there last night and had the best night I’ve had in ages. One of the best things about it is the music. They all do a wee bit of DJing each and play their own personal tastes, this gives the night a good mix of styles. Mod music (old 60’s) was plentiful. They even played a little Jam and The Who. They did some ska and it was the right stuff, older stuff and really good.
They had a soul set too and I’m told they will be having a guest DJ next month, a young guy who’s dad DJ’s in a soul club. I’m looking forward to hearing his stuff as he looked pretty cool. The dance floor was full all night and the people are there for the fun of it. I don’t think there was a single person there who didn’t have a great night. I was well in my element. The best thing about Melting Pot, though, has to be the people. By the time I left there at the end of the night (yes, they had to kick us out, lol) I had spoken to just about everyone in that room.

hi scott thanks for posting the dates …. very helpful, been to rimini a few times seeing as I live in Austria its only a 10 hour trip in the car ….

Hi , just a quick reminder to everyone that Melting Pot is on this Saturday 26th April @ Starka, Brandon Street, Motherwell. As well as the regular DJ’s will be special guest Kev O’Neill(Perth). hi 1st post here,would just like to say thanks to everyone who came to zicos had a brilliant night really enjoyed the music djs were superb was never off the dancefloor. melting pot this saturday im working but will make it down later hope to see you all there.looking forward to the next night at zicos charlie you’ll have to bring your pics on sat. john remember your talc its going to be busy i think c u there. julie

hi my 1st post here would just like to say thanks to everyone who turned up at zicos had a brilliant night , looking forward to the next night hope to see you all there. charlie wheres the pictures? the bands were great djs were great some really good tunes played by all was never off the dance floor. Melting pot this sat im working but will finish early enough to make the night be great to see you all again.Hope you all had a great night at sharon jones will here all about it on saturday.
