Although Dee’s of Trongate has been mentioned, did anybody else shop in his other stores ? I was going through Partick the other day and I remembered I sometimes used to get stuff out his Partick Shop and even out the Clydebank store on the odd occasion. Thought it should be included !

I have heard that old owner of the site chestnut before.
When you say it was the East End Mods that started the site, did you not mean started the fight.
All kidding aside I spent many a happy day at my cousins in Provanhall in Easterhouse. (no I’m not mad) He was the only Mod in the whole of that scheme. And when I used to go up on my scooter all these wee tiny Elvis rockabilly lookalikes used to shout all sorts of abuse at me. I knew a lot of EE boys and they were great guys, despite coming from the wrong part of the city.

Charlie was deposed off due to him being an owner of the site and had a head start it was only fair to give someone else the crown for now…….. EE mods give way to the lesser mortals…….. However it was the EE boys that started the site so we get more drinking points for initiative. LOL
