Glasgow Mods - R&B, British Beat Music, Motown, Northern Soul

I had a business trip to scotland and went to Friday street where by accident I met with my old pals Raymond (welshy), Charlie Murphy and Rab McNamara, it was such a buzz after being such a huge gap. At the Friday Street do there was a lot of younger crowd who all wanted to know more and given that Charlie has soooo much knowledge, we decided to setup a website too allow him to record all his detail, which if you know Mr Murphy his knowledge is so vast the ordinary soul cant consume it all in one go, the website is mine and Charlies area to show all who are prepared to learn or are interested in the sixties, nobody knows it better than Charlie, you can take my word for it. So this is what inspired me to build a website for my old mate Charlie like Glasgow Mods, also its a nice way to document and centralise all the updates of whats going on.

Back in Dec 06 I was going through all my old records and decided to put some stuff up about northern soul and my early influences in music. I am on the lookout for editors, drop me a line and I will add you as an editor and hopefully we document and add video collections and show the internet a few things about what being a mod and soulie is all about. I have always looked back on my teenage years with fondness and I am never far away with rebuilding an old lambretta (see picture) and totally rebuilding Lambretta Spares for Mark Broadhurst, although e-commerce and internet is a hobby of mine, I have been in the IT business for some 20+ years, now more of a corporate advisor than a grunt with brains.
